Okay. So now it all beguines. If yr just popping in to see how I am, or to download free sounds, please check out the rest of the site and I promise you'll be interested ... or at least satisfied to know that I've actually been busy around this joint!

Anyway, since everyone is so patient, here's another sound... This time it's very minimal, and (speaking from experience) benefits from the good ole phasevocoding. It's called arping_slic

Email me if you download it.It's part of a very important poll.

Allright. Where have I been?

I've finished work on a full-length slab of digital goodness entitled "Day By Daydream". If you couldn't tell, it's a concept album about where my head is actually at. In addition, the long-awaited compilation is nearing full-blown status, with an initial limited run of Area615 on lucious 12-inch vinyl. It's groovey. (Yup, that's a really bad pun.)

The lovely Anjelik and myself are now preparing to take all this good stuff up to Montreal while we enjoy the Mutek festival. If you happen to be there, make sure to drop us a line at logickal23@yahoo.com. We're very friendly!

In the meantime, here are some new sounds...

Besyncigner.mp3 - playing with a new Reaktor4 ensemble whose name I can't pronounce.
kkg.mp3 - Something else from the archives. Made with R3

Those of you who have been checking this page out for a little while know how infrequently I can post. To those of you for which this is a new thing, my apologies.

I'm going to attempt to make ammends to all of you by posting a rather large Reaktor drum manipulation jam that has been sitting on a disc that I just found this weekend while re-arranging and re-organizing my studio. I've got more where this came from, and this is a little on the big side, so it might not last too long - download while you can!

(5/23/03 Yes, the Drums finally went out to make room for new. Thanx!)

There seems to be a good response to this - quite a few folks downloaded over the weekend. To celebrate the week upcoming, here is an older bit from the vaults that I never really got around to fooling with. Hope it inspires someone out there... Oh, and a warning - this one is pretty raw, with untrimmed silences and what could be some potentially speaker-damaging transients, so be careful.

And just so there's enough to go around -

Alright, this is going to be interesting. I frequently want to work on musick, but have little time to work with. And for me, things that get half-completed often stay that way.

This evening, I want to work on something. It's got to be small, because I've only got a couple of hours to work with. So - I came up with a sound for the blog, all shiny and brand-new-like. I hope you enjoy.

It's a cute little repetitious melody-bit called Torque.

Okay. I've finally decided what to do with this page. If you still want to hear me occasionally talk about my "Real Life," you can go visit my LiveJournal page. I might talk a little bit over here, but I've decided that it would be much more appropriate for me to keep the topics leaning closer to my music and sound manipulation tasks.

However, don't expect too much talking - I'm going to attempt to give you my own version of an audiodiary... Small sounds, snippets, glimpses and dittys. These are my own source materials, samples, bits of work in process. Hopefully it will give everone an insight into my working methods, processes and habits (such as they are), or perhaps provide inspiration and the opening of avenues of creative explortation for those out there who are into such things.

The only rule I have is that you please, if you decide to use anything you find here in a composition of your own, contact me and provide me with some manner of credit. A copy of whatever you use would be nice, as well.

To start things off, here's a bit that is destined somehow to end up as part of, or maybe just as something of its own - we'll see. It's currently entitled baass113CRMSalpha. Catchy title, no? Apologies to the 3 or 4 of you who already have this one...

Good lord! It's been fer-freakin'-ever since I've posted to the blog! My deepest apologies. I won't bore you with all of the excuses (and believe you me, I have quite a few of them), but suffice it to say that this place hasn't been hanging in my fore-brain much recently.

Some of the business has been pretty cool, tho - I played a couple of gigs, the Nashville New Music Conference and at Phreaknic. If you're reading this and you happened to catch one of those gigs, allow me to thank you again for showing up! I've got pictures to prove it, so I'll get those up here in the next few - I hope.

Got this other big deal taking up a bunch of time - more news on that when I have it, and the compilation is now aiming for Jan03, which is later than I'd want, but it could be worse.
